Weiron Tan took two more podiums in the 2013 Protyre Formula Renault BARC as rounds six, seven and eight took place at Thruxton in the UK this weekend.
Weiron performed very well in qualifying, securing a third place start for race one which took place on Saturday, a fourth place start for race two and a fifth place start for the final race, both of which were held on Sunday.
In the first race Weiron made a great start from third, moving up to second by overtaking Jake Cook at the complex, and almost catching Chris Middlehurst for the lead. At the end of the opening lap, Cook was putting pressure on Weiron, with both going wheel-to-wheel at the chicane. The two made contact, with Weiron sustaining front wing damage. He was forced into the pits for a new nose cone but was able to continue. He finished the race in 14th position.
